First of all, I hate writing these things.
Maybe it's because I don't know exactly where to start from - do you want to know about me from all the way back to the womb or are you guys just interested in my life over the last few years?
Nevertheless, I am going to give this one a go.
As I am writing this, I am a first-year university student studying an Early Years degree in England. I took a gap year last year (making me twenty, eek) and have spent the better part of my teenage years writing. Last year I gained the incredible opportunity to publish my first book after being found on a writing website named Wattpad (you may have heard of it!). I have been writing seriously since the age of thirteen, after finding a love for it through the support and guidance of my late Grandpa. I feel like every writer has that one person - whether it's a relative or a teacher or someone who always supported your passion. My Grandpa was that person.
Besides my obvious love for writing and reading and basically, all things related, I also have always had a massive ambition and interest in working with children. I've known from such a young age I have wanted to be a teacher and throughout my life, I have decided I am suited to younger children - particularly of the early year's age. I find teaching incredibly rewarding with the experience I have had, and although writing is a passion of mine, I have never seen it as a potential job.
I guess you could say that this has only ever been a hobby of mine.
No one is reading these days, and I want this to change,
Perhaps stick around this little blog of mine and maybe, just maybe, you can be a part of that change too.
